Leisure Industry Week - 25th - 27th September 2007

GolfCross was one of the 450 exhibitors at the 2007 Leisure Industry Week, being alongside some of the biggest names in sport and leisure for the ever busy 3 day event. Our ‘eye-catching’ slogan on the ball dispenser certainly did raise some eyebrows!!

Ian Botham & Ronan Keating  Leukaemia Research & Cancer Research Charity Day at Gleneagles, Perthshire  – Wednesday 13th June 2007

The most prestigious location in 2007 for a GolfCross Longest Drive / Nearest The Disc Competition held to raise money for the two charities. 11 teams set off at 8.30 to play 18 holes of golf on the PGA Centenary Course, upon reaching the 18th, where we were sited, players were unable to believe the shape of the ball, let alone then being asked to nominate either to try for the Longest Drive or Nearest The Disc.

Simon Shaw Testimonial at The Oxfordshire Golf Club, Thame - Monday 16th April 2007

Well, the 10th tee at The Oxfordshire saw the erection of our now famous GolfCross inflatable ball to mark our involvement in the Simon Shaw Golf Day. Everything was ready for a perfect days golf with the Longest Drive Competition hitting our oval ball, and what a view from up there!

Simon Shaw, Wasp's & England rugby player started the day’s event by hitting a superb shot with the GolfCross ball straight down the fairway; he’s played this game before!!!!! (Burhill April 2006).

15 teams were out in the field and with the majority of the players having never seen an oval golf ball before where intrigued to see how the ball played and we tell you what, some of them can hit the ball an awful long way!

All in all another successful day with glorious weather at a wonderful course. And most importantly a happy bunch of players who will still be talking about the day long into the future, and all in the name of charity.

The London Golf Show 27th-30th April 2007
Our first golf show where we could allow the golfers to hit the oval ball and be amazed by its unbelievable flight characteristics... and it went down very well the the people that got a chance to try it. Over the 4 days we could only cope with a couple of thousand people hitting the ball, we needed 10 bays not just the 2 that we could get hold of! Another superbly successful show with many hundreds signing up for the world championships, many course enquiries also and its always nice to catch up with a few more celebrities as we do on every occasion.
